15 Weeks to go!

It feels like I have forever to go, but I know its really just around the corner. You know those moments when it feels like the thing you are waiting for will never get here. But the next thing you know its come and gone. That's me. It just seems like every thing pregnancy, or labor, or after delivery and going home and nursing and all that makes me want it to be June already! Believe it or not I can't wait to nurse this baby. Such a connection is made when feeding your baby. Not that I am looking forward to having a baby wanting only me again (as with my other boys)(not my girl, she had no problem going to anyone) but I love the connections made. I hope he will like to be held by other people. Or at least be ok with not being held all the time. It was rough with my other boys but we survived. I have been sewing non-stop for this kid. While yes making the cloth diapers is going to be time consuming I am doing other things as well. I have made my diaper bag that I will get to use after the baby is born and I have made a sling... although it is not working right. I think my rings are too small and I have ordered bigger ones. But if I have to go buy different material I will. I can use this other material for other things. So nothing lost. I just hope it works with the bigger rings.

Wow. 15 weeks (well less if this baby follows his brothers and sister and comes earlier). Its just so close. I am glad I can use sewing as a good distraction. I just might make it through my material stash before he comes if i keep up the pace.

Diaper update: Diaper making is coming along nicely. All the newborn diapers will be the same material print so there is no confusion in the beginning. I am trying to make this as Daddy friendly as possible (he was not all for this idea in the beginning). I have decided to try sewing the diapers in bulk and that seems to go a lot faster than just one at a time. By the end of today I will have all 13 newborn sized diapers completed. 6 of them are being done today. Seems like a lot of work all at once but it really does go fast. And Hubby is more on board. And I did go with the "plastic" snaps. They are much easier to put on and a lot cheaper too.

  1. I know what you mean by the time thing. When we were told that our class was not until March 20th I was so sad I would have to wait so long. Now it's not that far off and we still have to go get our finger print cards. I am loving reading of your progress!
